Autumn, 2010
GREETINGS FROM HEADQUARTERS
After a very warm Summer, and some Indian Summer days recently, it is now looking like autumn with the turning and falling leaves. It will be time to be raking leaves soon. We have recently put a coat of primer paint on our headquarters front porch, and had several favorable comments from the neighbors.
BOOKROOM NEWS:
The economic slowdown continues but we are receiving orders for books, especially the “Symbols Of Our Celto-Saxon Heritage” on a regular basis. We have had several orders and inquiries from people in various parts of the world, several of whom are new to our message and who are requesting catalogs and free literature.
OUTREACH NEWS:
Our main website www.israelite.ca has added several new features of interest to our members and friends, under the “Pictorial” button. Color automated slide shows have been uploaded on both the “History” and “Conventions” pages, to which we will be adding in the future. Also, on the “Video” page we have added several new professionally produced short film talks from the BIWF-UK, including speakers such as BIWF President Michael Clark, BIWF Secretary David Aimer, and historian Martin Lightfoot. We invite you to visit our other websites as well, a booksite with dozens of offerings at www.migrations.info and the “British-Israel Basics” website at www.british-israel.com. Please tell others of these on-line resources!
MEMBER NEWS:
We thank those who continue to faithfully support our organization and its work, including distribution to our members of the magazine, Thy Kingdom Come, which is paid for by CBIA and published and mailed by the Association of the Covenant People in Burnaby, B.C. Expenses continue to climb, and in order to continue our current activities without cutbacks, we need to hear from those who have not contributed during the past year. We hope to publish future books and undertake other projects to increase our witness if we have the financial support of our members and friends. We cannot accomplish all of this without your help. Thank you in advance!
We were saddened to hear of the death of long-time member from Calgary, Meta Bettin, in August.
CONVENTION NEWS:
Our own joint convention with the BIWF-Canada was held in Toronto on September 17 through 19 (Friday through Sunday) at the Toronto BIWF headquarters, 313 Sherbourne Street. The speakers included Brooks Alden of the Association of the Covenant People in Burnaby, B.C., Kent Purvis, President BIWF-Canada; Douglas Nesbit, Vice-President BIWF-Canada; and Pastor J.S. Brooks of CBIA. See pictures taken at the convention which are enclosed with this mailing. We invite you to be with us for next September’s convention.
.
Sincerely,
Mary F. Bennett, President
