Web Blog Entry, Spring 2009
Keep up-to-date with our British-Israel web blog updates!
GREETINGS FROM HEADQUARTERS
We hope that you are enjoying the Spring and Summer weather and the reawakening of God’s creation, with the emergence of the flowers and leaves on the trees. This reminds us that God is still in control, especially in these troubled times.
The reroofing of the porch mentioned in the last newsletter turned out well, and should last for many years.
BOOKROOM NEWS:
In spite of the economic slowdown, we are receiving orders for books, especially the “Symbols Of Our Celto-Saxon Heritage” on a regular basis. We have had several orders and inquiries from people in various parts of the world, several of whom are new to our message and who are requesting catalogs and free literature.
MEMBER NEWS:
We would like to hear from any of our members who would be willing to serve on our board and attend conventions. Our Vice-President, J.S. Brooks, will be traveling to the U.K. during late June and July for three weeks of lecturing at various British-Israel groups, including Bible Truth Fellowship, Covenant People’s Fellowship, Orange Street Congregational Church in London, and others. A few days in-between will be spent productively doing research in the famous British Library. We still hope to publish new books in the future to expand our witness.
We thank those who continue to faithfully support our organization and its work, including distribution to our members of the magazine, Thy Kingdom Come, which is paid for by CBIA and published and mailed by the Association of the Covenant People in Burnaby, B.C.
UPCOMING CONVENTIONS:
Pastor Brooks and I will be attending the 100th anniversary conference of the Association of the Covenant People in Burnaby, B.C. on August 6th to 9th, 2009. Jory will be presenting two lectures from his latest Biblical and historical research. We would encourage any of our members who are able to attend these meetings to join us in fellowship with other B.I. believers. The extensive list of speakers will include Pastor Alan Campbell from Northern Ireland, Pastor Karl Schott from Washington, Pastor Dave Barley of Idaho, filmmaker Richard Bray, and Pastor Charles Jennings of Oklahoma, among others. For further information, consult the Thy Kingdom Come magazine.
Our own joint convention with the BIWF-Canada will be held in Toronto on September 18 through 20 (Friday through Sunday) at the Toronto BIWF headquarters. The speakers will include Michael Clark, President of BIWF-UK; David Aimer, Secretary of BIWF-UK; Kent Purvis, President BIWF-Canada; Pastor J.S. Brooks, and possibly others. The Saturday evening banquet dinner will be by reservation only, so be sure and contact us soon. We hope that you can be with us this year.
We hope that this newsletter finds you all in good health and enjoying the nice weather after the snowy winter.
Sincerely,
Mary F. Bennett, President
